Carlos Hernan Godoy Fajardo -head of the advisory in labour law, collective bargains and M&A projects department- graduated with a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 1979, where he majored in labor law, social and economic sciences.

Carlos is  regularly invited to speak on current topics in labor law and social security for the most important professional associations in Colombia, such as ACRIP (Colombian association of Human Resources Managers), AMCHAM (The Colombo American Chamber of Commerce) el Colegio de Abogados Laboralistas (Colombian association of labour lawyers), ANDI (The association of Colombian industries and entrepreneurs), among others.

He has been a professor of law at the Universidad Javeriana for 32 years, and has taught at other universities including Universidad de los Andes, Universidad del Rosario, and the Universidad de la Sabana.

Carlos has been recognized by Chambers & Partners as a “Band 1” lawyer in Labour & Employment Law, in 2011, 2012 and 2013, as well as Leading Lawyer by Legal 500 in 2013. He is the former President of the Colombian association of labour lawyers and is affiliated with the International Bar Association (IBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), and is a member of the Association of Colombian industries and entrepreneurs through the legal industry chamber and the Editorial council of Current Labour Affairs Magazine (Legis).
